Can anyone identify these "U" bolts?

Post by m37jarhead »

Hi all:
I'm digging through all the small parts and pieces that remain to be put on my M37.
Found 2 U-bolts. Here's the info on them.
2 u-bolts, threaded.
Both ends threaded for 7/16 NF.
1 1/2" across.... center to center of the shanks, 1 7/8" outside dimension.
2 1/2" high.

Any help or thoughts appreciated.

I didn't have a chance to do a bunch of measurement, but I'm thinking they are to secure the vertical portions of the top's frame to the door sills.

Yep...... Now I remember where they came off.
They slip over the tubes sticking out of the bottom of the Artic top.
Once the tubes are slid into the door frame area, the U bolts are installed.

THANKS very much.

Jerry,
Glad to help!

I just spent some time trying to figure out what the "J-bolt" was for securing the top. My truck no longer has them. Just the U-bolts you were describing.
