Hey Chunk,
Any progress on the spotlight mounts? I had a fabricator lined up to make a small run of them until you said you could make them for a lot less. I just wanted a spotlight mount, not to go into the spotlight mount business, so I told the folks that had shown interest in mine that you would be taking the project over. Any progress so far?
Thanks,
Tim

Any news on how these worked out? I'd like to see a couple of detailed pictures if I could...I was going to weld one up with a buddy of mine in the coming months.

I've procured a spotlight off a police cruise which I am going to use by modifying the top of the pedestal mount a little...

I would be interested in one of these if anyone is having some of them welded up.

Please PM me.

Thanks,

I have not written much but follow everyon's activity when I can. I have a 51 M with the spot light mounted with original wiring. My M also has the heater mounted on the LH fender. I would be happy to send detailed pictures, and info regarding specifics, if I had the OK to send to one of your emails. (I have not had luck with the picture postings either) Let me know how best to show the angles, and info you need.

DCook,

PM sent with my email address. I will post pictures that you send to me.

Please take pictures straight on to the bracket, so they are not distorted from odd camera angles. Please take pictures from the top down, from the back facing the front of the truck, from the side facing the cab and from the front facing the rear of the truck. Please make sure to fill the frame as much as possible with the subject matter.
I would also like close-up shots of the spotlight from all sides.

I hope the request for that much detail has not scared you off. I look forward to seeing and posting these for all to see.

Why are there two brackets on the drawing? Is it an either or type of design? The one on the right hand side would need an extra bend mid way out from the body if I'm understanding the design correctly.

The one toward the bottom of the print would be difficult to reproduce.

I will get pictures of all these areas when i get home tonight, and PM them to T.Highway. It will most likely be 8 or 9 PM Mountain time before I get them sent.

The second bracket, a smaller, hold the top of the larger bracket, I think it is bolted to the rear view mirror mount. My gallery fotos should have a pic of Bill Winkapaw's spot-light & mount?

Dana,

I sent you another PM, send the pictures to my email address. You can't attach them to a PM.

Bruce,

I looked in your photos and didn't find any. I just looked on the SS website (M37 section) and saw some pictures but was unable to enlarge them enough to see the detail very well.

I sent the gentleman here a pm as well, can't wait to see the pictures.

The only ones I have been able to find were of very low resolution...

Well I cannot find the pic of the spotlight, if you post over on S/S Board for Bill Winkapaw & ask him to post a pic of it, he will post it. I will look around on some of my cd's for it?

Took me a couple years...

but I actually dropped off a bunch of pictures, and that CAD drawing at the welding shop I go to yesterday. The owner seemed to think that he could make it fairly easily. I will post pictures when I see the finished product!

For me, originality is not absolutely necessary, so I told him that he could modify it a bit if need be, as long as it generally looked/functioned the same.

Great news! Please post pictures when he gets the prototype done.

Let function define form. If something was made 60 years or made to the same specs yesterday it shouldn't matter. The same is the same.
