M37 gas tank vent line
Can anyone tell me what screws into the tank that the filler neck vent line hooks to? My tank has nothing but a threaded opening and For the life of me, I cannot figure what goes in there or where to get that piece. Thanks for any help.

Re: M37 gas tank vent line
Hi Gunter,
It's a small piece of steel fuel line that acts as a nipple for the rubber hose to connect to that also connects to the filler vent line pipe. So the end that screws into the threaded hole in the tank has a flare fitting that mates to the tank. So take a piece of 1/2" steel fuel line 3 3/4" long, flare one end and use the appropriate fitting and you're good to go. If you have a copy of the ORD there's a pic of it on the bottom of page 66.

regards,
bob
