Can you buy the waterproof plugs local or do you have to use one of the military vendors.

Your local auto parts store probably won't have them on the shelf, but they can order them for you. They are a bit pricey when compared to "normal" spark plugs, but you can get 'em.

If you buy at a parts store I know with Champion you have to get them in a 10 pack, not sure if Autolite has that qty. requirment. Champions are more than Autolites, but they are plated nice an the Autolites arent, they get rusty looking.

I believe the Champion equivalent to the Autolite #2243 is stock #588, part #XMJ14
