Ahoy there! It has been some time since I posted something here. Not to say that I haven't been using my M37 down here in dusty Australia.
This year I took the Dodge for a 1200km round trip with some mates to a military show. We traveled via dirt roads for as much of the trip as possible, saw a great deal of the countryside and dropped in on many, many watering holes to quench our parched throats. We camped out every night, I had the back loaded with camping gear for the show.
It was a great trip and the Dodge never missed a beat, I even got to take her to the top of a mountain in a national park, without even resorting to 4WD! The truck just ate the mountain.
Anyway cheers!
"... a 1200km round trip" ...astounding What a wonderful trip that must have been, I would love to have been along on your adventure.
Thank you for posting and telling us of what I would call the trip of a lifetime.

Thanks for the comments.
It is the second of these more scenic adventures I have made with the Dodge to the show.
In the past we just used to head down the 'highway' for two days to get there. My nerves are now somewhat shot from crazies on the main roads including one young driver who clipped the truck while trying to overtake us on one of those trips....
The past couple of years however a good mate has plotted a much more adventurous and relaxed route for us to take heading south, usually 4-5 of us travel together and usually takes 3-4 days to get there including lots of stops to check out the land and locals. Dirt roads, mud and dust are a requirement for as much of the trip as possible. Great fun!
Sometimes life is about the journey, not the destination.
Makes me shameful as I have made several very short hops testing the truck but no adventure yet!
