Doesn't surprise me it's registered as a '47......the folks at most MVAs don't know the difference between a WC and an M37. Nor do most folks out there.
But it's also NOT a 1952 M either.

If anyone is seriously interested, the serial number would identify the year. I don't know about California, but a registration correction is relatively easy here in B.C. One of my M37s was registered as a Fargo and a phone call, a couple of pictures of the data plate and truck and our peoples insurance corporation ICBC updated that part of the record. I have owned and registered it for almost 35 yrs, so that may have helped. For the right price, it may be a good project.
