Does someone have a diagram, picture or description on how to assemble a Packard connector? The Douglas connectors are pretty much self explanatory, but I cannot figure out what purpose that little brass horseshoe looking plate serves and where it goes (looks something like an old Pakman icon). I am in the process of making an Douglas to Packard conversion wire (for my new temp gauge). Thank you!

I don't know if I attached these correctly but here is some info:
Re: Packard Connector Assy
Another file on Packard connectors.
If anyone needs the crimp handle and die part number for the crimp-style connectors listed in the attached documents I can provide.
PS Those crimp connectors take a MS (Mil-Spec) tool handle and die to properly crimp them; the tools can get a little pricey but are available. If anyone needs the crimp handle and die part number for the crimp-style connectors listed in the attached documents I can provide.
