WTS: 5 each Budd pattern H1 wheel centers

Post by mp_tx »

I was going to re-center some surplus H-1 wheels to run on my M-37, but plans have changed. I had 5 centers custom made to fit the OEM Budd pattern. Attached is a sample of what I am talking about (although the pic does not have the correct bolt pattern). With these centers you can cut out the original bolt pattern on the H1 rims and weld in the new centers using whatever backspacing you choose which allows you to run the fairly inexpensive surplus 36 or 37 inch military Goodyear or BFG surplus tires out on the market. Perfect fit and looks great on the M37 or any other military vehicle with the Budd bolt pattern.

Would really love a local sale in Central Texas, but will ship if necessary.

Selling at a loss at $40 each--$200 for the set of 5. Shipping extra, obviously.

They are sill packed in the original shipping cardboard, but if you really need a pic of the actual centers, I can break the pack open.

are these centers sized to fit the rim taper to any particular back spacing?(will they need cut down to increase B SP or do they fit the whole way to the studs?) and what supplier did you get these from?

These are the flat (not stamped) inserts and can be set to any backspacing.

They are still available.

Hi,
Im interested in the wheel centers. Can you check shipping to 15102?

Do you know if the centers you had made were ever used or tested on an M37 or are these a one off sort of thing. Thanks

Package is 64 lbs. Best quote I could find was FEDEX at $53 shipping.

Not exactly what you mean by tested or one off? I never welded in these partucular centers, although I have made several other sets of re-centered H1 rims for my rock crawlers and ambulance. These centers were cut by a well known H1 center fabricator (Copperhead Fabrication) using Budd lug blueprints provided by our very own Mr. Watson. Figure out what backspacing you want, and burn them into your cut H1 shells.
