CG,

I saw this one on Ebay the other day, but there's just so much M37 stuff on there lately going for ridiculous prices that I didn't post it here. But if it sells.........I have a copy of this book SIGNED by David.....so mine must be worth at least $2500!

So far there have been 6 offers......5 declined and 1 pending. He really thinks this book is worth that much!!!

When I spoke to David a year or so ago about the possibility of a reprint he told me he was working on putting it out digitally. Imagine spending over a thousand bucks on a paperback and then having it come out for $25 (or whatever the cost is) on CD/DVD. You can actually buy an M37 for the price this guy is asking for the book.

Amazing.

Well,,,,, it looks like Best Offer was accepted, wonder how much it went for???????
I also have a copy of this book and purchased it a few years back for £10, :D :D I guess that's around $15???????
Heard this book has became quite collectable, but still, that was a crazy price.

All things considered; the book ain't worth $2. You can look through back issues of Military Vehicles magazine, and find 99% of what is in Ahl's book. I've got several guys working here at M Series who have forgotten more about a proper restoration of an M37 back to original than this guy ever knew. The book, and most of what's in it is pathetic, and is surely not a restoration guide that would benefit anyone seeking to do a proper restoration.

This certainly shows without doubt how in the dark some folks are when the word "restoration or restored" comes up. Also shows how ebay sellers continue to seek out uneducated buyers; just like Ahl did when he sought out a buyer for the truck described in this so called restoration guide. The build was pathetic to say the least. The buyer actually called me a few years back telling me how he was ripped off, and what a crappy job was done to the truck. My regret is that I failed to write down the new owner's name and number so I could pass it on the many who seem to think Ahl's middle name was GOD.
