clutch and brake seal

Post by macibell111 »

I ordered 2 clutch and brake seals ,to install them I heated one up with a heat gun and stretched it over the pedal and it stretched fine .I guess that is the way it is done without taking off the pedels themselves but the other one was a different type of rubber and it tore as soon as I tried to stetch it on,my question is who has the good stretchy kind? don't want to keep paying 10 bucks plus shipping just to get another hard seal..any ideas Jack

I'm just going to put some new ones on my M, as the old ones are practically dust :| both my new ones seem to be the same type of rubber, and are still quite pliable considering there NOS.
But I must mention, that I'm a bit anxious about putting them on.
Ill let you know how I get on?
