AM GENERAL M929 DUMP TRUCK

Post by 8543bob »

GOOD MORNING,
Not a m 37, but I bought it anyway. Got a little problem: I was running it along I- 81; and oil started leaking from a selector left side of the steering wheel, I believe it is the selector that locks up the front hubs, not that familiar with the truck yet. My questions: is it the selector valve than needs replacing? Or should I be looking elsewhere? Can I by-pass the valve by connecting the two oil lines, until I get a new valve?? One more: the handle that puts it in four wheel drive, next to the operators seat; whats the sequence to get it in fwd?? Any help with any part of the operation of the truck would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS
BOB

I'd jump over to steel soldiers where they seem to be halfway split between deuces and the 5-tons. I'm sure they'd be able to help you a lot better than we can...
