Front Fender Patch Panel

Post by Tom P »

Posting for a friend of mine who's looking for the front fender patch panel under the headlamp and front support area.
Anyone know of a source? Or we making our own?
I know Sheldon has passed(RIP) so I have no idea anymore.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

I know Steve took over for his dad.I don't have contact no. With that I don't know what the new name is either. Boy I'm just loaded with all kinds of info, too bad it's not helpful. I'll do a little digging and see what I could find.

I thought Vintage Power Wagons had the patch panel. Maybe Midwest Military too.

Thanks for your post Tom. Checked with Mseriesrebuild as well. No Luck. I'll be watching. VPW no, double checking with Mid West. I think I sent an e-mail couple of weeks back, and answer was no. But just to make sure I'll resend.

sounds like a business opportunity for someone.....if someone had one I'd consider reverse-engineering it and make some tooling for them.

If you cant find one I have a repair panel that I was going to use to repair my spare fender so I could sell it. Shoot me a pm if you get desperate.

Well if nobody is making them maybe we could get our hands on the old dies ? I am surprised John at Midwest isn't tooling up or are you John ? Any ideas if Steven sold the business I did web research and it says after his dad he renamed it and moved and then somewhere in 2012 he also closed up shop. I wonder if anybody knows where his son went ? I would be interested in making them if I could get the dies Sheldon used because I am sure they aren't cheap to make ? anybody on here ever make sheet metal dies ??

got in touch with Stephen since he lives relatively close to me. He said a guy by the name of John Green in Vermont purchased all of the dies and tooling from them, but said he didn't think he did anything with it. I haven't called him, but if any of you guys are interested his number is 802-464-3306. I'd normally not post it, but it's the number associated with his business. Just called and left a message with the new owner of the dies I will post the outcome so we don't swamp him with phone calls.

Tbone thanks for the info....
