Gas Powered Gen-set??

Post by Tim Powell »

Hey Crew.
I had one of my Buddies drop off a classic treasure while I was on the road last week.
It's some sort of small gas powered gen-set. An APU of some sort?
I'll try and follow up with some picture after while!! Gotta' go get the Boss (cook) from work! :D

That set looks like a Homelite 2 cyc. some were used in tanks but others were for low power communications equipment, radios, telephones while many more were mounted in aircraft like the B17 which had 400 cyc. power output for navigation equipment.
