Help Identifying a Part

Post by w30bob »

Hi Guys,

Well.....I came across this M37 exhaust pipe for a few bucks and snatched it up without really thinking it thru. I was pretty sure I'd seen it in the M37 manuals somewhere, but now that it's in my grimey little hands I'm not so sure where it goes. I initially thought it was the tailpipe that came out of the muffler and exited under the tool box door on the passenger side. But I pulled one down and it's much longer than this thing I bought. Then I thought maybe it was a tailpipe extension for the fording exhaust pipe....but nope. So.........I'm a little clueless. Anybody recognize this thing???

thanks,
bob

Just a guess, but to me it looks like the second part of the exhaust pipe from the manifold? The first pipe has the swing bolts.

Hi Bruce,

No, it's not that second header piece....that one is bigger and has slots in one of the flanges for the swing bolts. This one looks bigger in the pic than it really is....it's probably only about a foot long.

Might be off a WC Dodge; doesn't look like anything M37 to me....
