FS: Homelite 2 Cyc. Generator 28vdc

Post by Carter »

Homelite Mod. 20 5D28 23A Korean era genny that puts out 17 amps.(max 23) at 28vdc. Runs good but carb needs a new cork bowl gasket which are available. Elec. start from two 12volt batteries. I start it with my M37 batts. good for charging the M37 system. Had this unit for years and am thinning out the stuff I have so I don't have to take it along when I relocate to my new house and shop. Other pix available, ask.

Can be ups shipped $ 95.00

Don't have a clue Bob, even ask on the SmokStak forum ( http://www.smokstak.com/ ) where a bunch of very smart military generator guys hang out and got nothing. Who knows what the Corps of Engineers was using them for, some kind of test equipment? They are the builders after all and if the data plates read Signal Corps one might think switch board power, or some other communication device? Just don't know but a cool little OD unit that needs a new home. Probably look great in the back of your M37.

Once you get OD fever you are hooked, no cure is available but the symptoms can be mitigated with infusions of old green iron. :D

Wow.....OD fever sounds serious Carter.
Luckily my M is Air Force.....and Strata Blue doesn't seem to have the same effect on people.

Have a great day my friend,

Sorry but anything close to Air Force blue has the same effect as OD fever. The symptoms of Air Farce Blue Fever or AFBF (pronounced "Arf Barf") are, that if you can't find the part you need to install then you have to buy another part just like it and figure that when you do find the original misplaced part that is now actually your "spare".

Wow DAP.....you're good! You got my psyche nailed down pat! Any chance I could get you to call my girlfriend and explain it to her.....before she calls the TV channel and you see me and all my "spares" on the next episode of "Hoarders"?
