For Sale: M37 Engine & Tranny $ 500 w all Engine Accessories

Posting this for a fellow MVPA member and friend, Andy Kelly in Panama City, Florida. (NW Fla panhandle) There are photos at the Picasa Web Link below. Andrew has a complete M37 engine and tranny, with all the engine accessories, including the correct carburator and air cleaner, generator, etc.. Andy bought it from a man who had an M37 and was going to transplant it with a newer engine of some kind. He told Andrew the 6 cyl M37 engine ran fine and that the truck had een in the barn for 8 years. When he drove it in the barn the man said the engine was running fine. 2 years ago Andy got it from the guy. It turned over by hand ok, but Andy put Marvel Mystery Oil in each spark plug hole to ensure it did not get stuck. It still turns over fine by hand. Andrew is asking $ 500.00 for the M37 engine and tranny combination. I had a guy call looking for a good take-out engine a week or so ago. If you will get in touch, I'll pass along his info to you as I'll be back in the shop in the morning. I'm not sure if he would want it not running based on what he said he was looking for, but if your friend cares to check it out to verify the actual condition; you might have a quick buyer. Honestly, if it's been sitting for all those years; it may be hard to move it until it is verified. Good luck with the sale.
