The Beast Roars Again
Yesterday was a big day in the life of my M37. After five years sitting idle including 2 + years of restoration,
the 251 c.i. engine finally roared to life. The rebuilt engine pulls very strong even though I only pushed
it to 3/4 throttle. It is definitely quicker than an M37 belonging to a friend that I have driven. The M sure
looked odd driving around the neighborhood without fenders, hood, lights, and windshield. All of those
items have been sand blasted, primed, and painted months ago, ready to install in the coming days/weeks.
As I drove around the area, some of the neighbors stopped mowing their grass and started aplauding or
showing the thumbs up.
Cold beer for everyone this evening.
So, maybe, the countless hours of restoration and volumes of $$ are starting to pay off. Thanks to Charles for
help on the weird clutch/pressure plate problem and his help on the fuel pump. And a big thanks to other
contributors for their input. It's much appreciated.

Re: The Beast Roars Again
I've been using a jerry can strapped to the frame rail as a source of fuel. Yesterday I purged all of the original gas
lines from front to back. You wouldn't believe the crud that was in those lines. Used acetone and carb cleaner.
The original gas tank looks nasty inside, so again using jerry can mounted in rear of bed to supply fuel.
Can you say "Rube Goldberg" ???? I say Yankee ingenuity.

Yeah I guess you can call us Yankees. We kicked the Rebel's butts at Picacho Peak in Arizona during the Civil War.
