Tire beads
I need to start thinking about tires for my rig. I am wondering about the bias ply vs. radial tires. I have seen several trucks with the Budd wheel running off the shelf 16" radial tires. However it seems I had heard that the tire bead design was different between the mil spec bias ply and a standard automotive radial, and that standard truck radials will not fit the Budd rim correctly? Is this true?

We run Yokohama Geolander M/T radials, LT315-75R16 on the original rims. Fit great, many of our customers are running them on their rebuilt trucks. Balance & ride MUCH better than a bias ply.
