Door weatherstrip

Post by HingsingM37 »

Finishing up the door moldings on the M37. Is there a picture of the vertical weatherstrip installation on the doors in any of the TM's? I can't remember how or with what these were held in place? Thanks.

Jut some good old glue held the door gasket for the most part, look at the bottom of the door there should be two small straps,or at least two holes where the straps were. They are close to the two oval drain holes. Now that's if my memory is correct.

Thanks. I found some small square clips in my parts boxed marked "doors". However I found no holes in the door , they may be filled in with paint? I seem to recall the strap or clip during disassembly, a pic would help.

Look at the bottom of the door it should have to oval holes about 3/4" long and 1/2" wide one near the front and one near the rear. These holes were to allow water out. The holes for the gasket straps were most likely placed almost any where the person doing the assembly guessed at. Look from the inside down, if the bottom is clean you may find them.

Thanks. I meant to say I did see the drain holes, but none for a sheet metal screw or retainer near them. I'll look again.
