Help with Gallery Pics

Post by w30bob »

Hi Guys,

Well, I was able to upload one pic to the gallery. Seems it won't take any more. I've tried repeatedly one at a time, so I guess my picture resolution is too high. Anyone know how to dumb down a pics resolution so I can upload?

thanks,
bob

Where are your pictures Bob, webshots or another hosting site? When I upload a pic here, I always have two windows open, one webshots, the other here on Robi's site. Then I mark the foto I want to post, copy the link, go to Robi's page (this post) and paste the link. Then I hit preview. (BTW, these brackets are reversed) If your satisfied w/the results, hit submit. I have used webshots for about ten years, Bill Wincapaw used it and I liked the results he had.

Give it a shot, there are other, some connected with different email accounts, lots of choices, but remote hosting is the easiest way to go.

Bob,

Are your jPEGS on your PC?
You should be able to open your pics you want in the gallery in windows picture manager . Right click on resize, then select "web small". Then save the re-sized the pic. You should be able to upload to the gallery then without being over the size limit. This always works for me.

David.......BINGO! Your suggestion worked!! Now I can post Gallery photos! Next is to try Bruce's idea so I can post pics directly here. I'm assuming "webshots" is an online pic hosting service I can find with Google. Here goes.............

thanks guys!

Google has a hosting format, it's called PICCASA, I think? I have one as well, not as many pic's over there as webshots. I think my google account is "m-37Bruce"?
