Hi Guys,
What would the original material been for covers on both the driver's and passenger seats in my '52 M37? In all the pics I've looked at I've seen green canvas, green vinyl, black vinyl, and maybe black leather........but what was original?
thanks,
bob

Re: M37 Seat Material?
The original seat covers would have been the OD canvas. Many vendors such as Beachwood Canvas or Pizzoferrato Ent. offer excellent repros. I believe John at Midwest has good NOS as well. If you are going to restore your truck to Mil Spec that is the way to go. Make sure to buy all your covers from the same source to make sure they are all the same shade cloth. If you are going to use the rig for off roading, the vinyl would make more sense as it would be easier to clean.

Re: M37 Seat Material?
I wish someone was making them out of the OD Vinyl that the military used from the 1970 on. Or the new nylon like the HMMWV have. That would be cool to have.
M37s are HMMWV in my world!
Re: M37 Seat Material?
I thought somebody here just got a vinyl top from Webbee Webbing-I'd guess they could do a seat the same way....
