Getting the run-flats out of a Michelin ?

Post by Tom @ Snake River »

Just got a set of 325-85R-16" on the rims for my 46 WDX Power Wagon.
What is the best way to get the run-flats out of the tires ? ? ?

Wondering if the rims on a WDX or M37 will fit these tires WITH the run-flats in them ? ?
What would be so bad about running the run-flats IF the rims fit ? ? ?

I'm thinking that the runflats would be in the space where your tube should be....

Tom,
If you don't mind me asking ,where did you find your tires? Are there any more available?

Thanks

Chris, your right, never thought about the inner tube being needed on the original split ring wheel.

There should be more available from BOYCE equipment at 800-748-4269, they were asking $300.00 each.
I would call quick as the supply was limited.

Mounting these on a stock M37 Budd 6.5" wide rim is probably not the best decision... the minimum rim width requirement from Michelin is 9" from the info I have -

Be careful -

I tried today useing the motor picker, and it worked fine. Just had to coax it with a crow bar. I hate the run flat lubricant.

I 'birthed' all 5 run flat inserts out of my Michelin ZXL 11.00x16's by using an engine hoist & hot soapy water in a spray bottle - they slid right out
