You were missing a piece also that bolts directly to the front of the top shell.tstephenson wrote:When I got my m37 it had a top with a oval back window in the bed. When I tried to mount it it was about 3 inches to short to reach the windshield frame. I made a piece by breaking a piece of 14 gauge metal and making an adaptor. It turned out great but I know it is not the right top, it fits around the tub but was not right with the windshield. I have been told that the top I have is a CCKW which was for a WWII era 2 1/2 ton. It looks like it could be that old. Anyway it keeps the rain out.

line us out
Thanks Charles, I knew someone in the know would line out all us newbees. I do not know why my CCKW top did not fit the windshield frame but it just came up about 3 iinches short for sure, perhaps it was not a CCKW top. It did fit the tub around the back but even there my top had a kind of octagon break to the corners and my M37 tub had a nice radius curve. Thanks again for keeping us on the education path

Re: line us out
The CCKW top won't fit without the approx 3" wide strip & channel that fits over the M37 windshield frame, I neglected to include that part in with the list of accessories that makes it fit on the M37, it bolts to the front edge of the CCKW top. The octagon break has an adapter that adapts the top to the cab tub radius on the corners. I replied the first time hurridly at lunch, maybe I didn't get it all quite clear. Anyway, that's the story.tstephenson wrote:Thanks Charles, I knew someone in the know would line out all us newbees. Re: Hard Cab Top
I have a 1952 M37 with a CCKW steel hardtop. The rear window is broken. I can replace that, but I need to find a replacement rubber gasket for the CCKW oval window. Can any of you point me to a replacement gasket?

There is nothing special about it; any good glass installer should be able to furnish that no problem.wildrice wrote:I have a 1952 M37 with a CCKW steel hardtop. The rear window is broken. Just to be more specific the window gasket and wood I am referring to is for the frame to go around the door windows
