Bumperettes mounted-PTO next...

Post by Cal_Gary »

Installed both today-stubborn old bent bumper brackets needed some coaxing but a big C clamp and a BFH took care of 'em. I need to straighten out the right side loop but am pleased with the results!

Looks good Gary.

I noticed that your front marker/turn signal lens are amber, did you tint these or are they amber glass?

Thanks Bert,
Amber glass-got 'em from Memphis Equipment via eBay for $25 for the pair (entire assembly)-a pittance of what they go for now.

Are these for a later model M37 or another Mil truck? I need to start watching for some of these.

Not OEM for the M37 that I'm aware of-I like the look in the dark-will post a picture this weekend.

silly question, but.....
Can the stock front leaf springs be used when adding a winch or do you need to use ones with an extra leaf?
Thanks!

Not a silly question-same spring. None of my source manuals list any separate springs for a winch model.

Bert, here's that picture- a little blurry but no mistaking how visible they are.

Thanks Gary,

Another option is to leave the clear glass and go with amber bulbs, as I have. Since this pic was taken I have swapped the bulbs around so that the amber bulb is behind the magnification part of the lens. Works really good for me.

I had to run 'em hot on that trip (moving from CA to UTAH) because the trailer lights died as soon as it got dark and I didn't have my multimeter with me.

Bert, my LED amber bulb doesnt have any part numbers or manufacturers details on it. Presumably a Chinese import.
I have searched through my email but cant find any reference to the purchase of them.
I'm sure I bought them here:
http://www.autobulbsdirect.co.uk/24V-LE ... tor-bulbs/

Will definately be a similar type available in the US I'm sure.

Cheers
