M-151 question

Post by Juan »

I want to know if there's a Spicer or Precision U-joint for the M-151 driveshafts. I can find NOS at the usual dealers but I would like to find a number that can be ordered in any auto parts store.

Thanks

I'm sure there must be one, but I don't know what it would be. If you have an old one, your parts store may be able to match it. Don't ask one of the kids who only know how to use the computer, though. Find the "old guy" who really knows the business.

Download the Spicer or NEAPCO catalog from either company's website. They have the diminsions for all thier u-joints. Find the one that matches your application (measure what you have and go flipping through the pages...). Once you have the number, you can cross to another brand if needed or just order.

Recently, I have found that my best source of u-joints from a price/quality standpoint has been Amazon.com of all places... (with the exception of u-joints for my 2.5 and 5 ton trucks where CarQuest and Fleetpride are my sources...

Good luck.
