Clutch bolt ?

Post by Gerry »

The manual calls for 6 1 inch bolts to attach clutch. Is that overall length or length without head? Cant find a picture of these bolts is there anything special about them?
Thanks,
Gerry

Thanks that what I thought but they had used shorter ones. Another trip to the hardware store.

Pressure plate mounting bolts are special. A simple trip to the hardware store won't get them. The mounting bolt holes in the flywheel are counter bored, the correct bolts will have a smooth shank portion just below the head that fits that counter bore so that the assembly is centered on the flywheel.
