dodge m37 carburator

Post by nutsfor59 »

hi,does anyone have a blow up/diagram of the carb ???,especially any detail of the governor,i'm not getting alot of road speed,45 seems top speed and id like to get 50-55 if i could, seems like it's bucking a headwind and no brakes are dragging etc, and the truck runs great,i can get kits but no diagrams !!!,thanks

45 is about average for one of these trucks. I'm pretty sure that's what the military governor setting was, anyway. You might be able to tweak it enough to get 50 or 55, but by 55 mph you would be revving your engine a little more than might be desirable.

hi,thanks for the dvice, just seemed a little lacking,i guess modern everyday stuff has spoiled me a bit,i think i will leave well enough alone,no need to risk scattering a motor for the sake of a few mph !!!,it runs great so i think i'll just count my blessings, thanks !!
