Windshield glass intallation

Post by powerwagontim »

Hi Guys,
Well I appear to have struck out on my slave cable questions, I will try another one.
What are people using to install the glass into the windshield frames? Is it a U shaped rubber molding like the side windows, or more like a flat tape wrapped around the edge of the glass?
Thanks in advance,
Tim

My local glass shop called it tape. The sample that I saw was flat not "U" shaped.

When I replaced my windscreen glass I used tape around the edges of the glass first then used black silicon in the frame and then around the edges of the glass to seal it.
