Seen a couple of cans/carriers mounted that way but none when the trucks were in military service, however it's a good way to haul extra fuel.

Carter,
Nice photos, I was at the Rally on Saturday morning. I looked at the M37 that was lifted but I was concerned when I saw that the lift blocks where pieces of wood blocks.

That USMC one looks sweet. Is that Rick's Weasel in the background?

Thanks for the comments guys.
I checked out the truck with the "twin cannons" and wanted to talk to the owner but he was busy talking to another fellow about wiring and didn't want to butt in to ask about the engine and the wood blocks.
Bruce, what were you doing?
" Nice job, wish I could made it. I have finished taking my little bro's apt apartment but no time to stop & visit! "
Warren, that was a great looking Weasel.
Is this the one?

My younger passed away April 5th, we didn't find out till the 20th, needless to say, his affairs were not in order. He lived in Forest Hill, MD, sort of north west of Bel Air, MD. It's over, closure is sort of here?

I like the "attempting" to float, sure gives you confidence.
