Thanks guys. Next step is the bed wood. I already have the headache rack boards cleaned up and finished. I was able to save the originals. They look great after being sanded then edged on the joiner. Glad my nieghbor has a woodshop full of tools

How's the inside sheet metal on your hardtop. I'm getting ready to make a new set for mine. The front piece above the windshield was only half there. The top was stuffed full of fiberglass and it doesn't seem to have been painted before assembly. The insulation just held in the moisture. I think I'll leave it out. What did you use for weatherstrip between the sliding window and the top when you installed it?
Sunsetoutpost,
My sheet metal was in good condition. However, when I blasted the headliner strip for above the windsheild, I learned a lesson about getting metal too hot. It now has a little twist to it and does not fit well. It actually re-tempered itself to almost a spring steel.. I have been searching for a replacement.
I pulled my insulation out when I welded up the holes in the roof. It had a bunch of drilled holes from a firetruck light rack.
Right now my sliding window has no weatherstrip. I tried some nylon material I had but it fit too tight and would not slide well. I have not found a suitable replacement for the OEM.
