So simple a cave man can do it...

Post by HingsingM37 »

Well friends I took advantage of what was our first 70 degree day in centuries to play with my bumper paint mask stencils Saturday. It is really starting to look like an Army truck!
As Rick suggest I started with the bumperettes to get a feel for working with the masks.

I washed the dust of the rig and went to work. Using chalk for my measurements I was really amazed how easy they went on. I used three thin coats of Rustoleum. The only tricky part was the thinner more frail parts of the mask for the fuel fill stuck during removal, but using a toothpick and tweezers as suggested it turned out flawless. Next weekend is the hood and stars.
Rick Larsen, you have a great product!
Happy Easter to all my brothers here :)

Very nice job, I can't wait until I'm to this point with my truck.

Nice work David! I hope to paint my exterior this year (once it warms up, and (sigh) after I strip it down).

Nice job, Rick's products also worked well for me but needed a bit of touch-up where I screwed up, note the right leg of the M.
