spark plugs

Post by rtkjmk »

:D I am in the process of replacing the spark plugs on my 1953 M37 , what is the correct spark plug to use .The engine currently has Autolite 2243's I should add that I have a fresh engine with good compression . I do however live in a cold climate( Buffalo ) and was wondering if I should go to a hotter plug . I have also installed a M Series electronic ignition . I don't use the vehicle at all in the winter ,just a summer ride . bob k

Bob,
I would stay with the stock plug. "Hotter" plugs have nothing to do with your location or climate. If your engine is in good shape you dont need the hotter plugs.

Yes 2243 is the stock plug. You should be fine with those in it.
