Hot Water Refresher Course
Hey Crew! I've got the new heater mounted in Lori's M-37 (I'll have the pictures a bit later) but I have a question. I've gone back and did a search on water hose installations and find two locations by the pump for one of the heater hoses. I have a plug on TOP of the waterpump and another plug on the radiator pipe/hose. Which one is the best choice? I'll try and attach a picture.

By the way, this is the heater I went with. I had to sacrifice the glove box to keep the heater high enough so as not to be in the way and have Folks kicking it with their feet. Not sure where I'll store my gloves?????????

The return hose goes to the shutoff cock installed in the bypass elbow above the pump. The pressure hose goes to the shutoff cock installed in the rear of the head behind #6 spark plug.

i plumbed mine as Cuz described and seem to have decent heat, although I can't help wondering if I'd get more "flow" by re-plumbing to the bung on the lower water pump hose....
Any thoughts?

The pressure side of your heater system is the port at the back of the head. The front connection is only returning the fluid to the pump. I seriously doubt there would be any discernable increase in flow by moving it to the pump's main suck port. It's already being dumped into the bypass port which dumps directly to the pump's impeller.

Well, it's looking like it will be next week before I get around to my plumbing. Busy today and tomorrow and then back on the road for a week Wednesday. Anyway, I'll start by plumbing into the port on top of the bypass elbow since it looks like it might be the "safest" to remove. Then onto the back port in the read of the head. The heater came with instructions on what they call an input and output line on the coil. Gotta' get gone for now, I'll be back!

Pick my heater up from J.C. Witnees , nice small box heater gives the passeger lots of room and at 20000 btu's it will smoke your Butt . see my pictures, not the real deal but it works dam fine!

Hey Crew.
That's a good looking "Heater-Craft" set up. I've got a "Heater Craft" unit in my boat and it will truly run you out of the wheel-house! I went with something similar (see photo gallery) because I wanted the little "flapper doors". (technical description)
