Misc Parts for Sale

Post by W_A_Watson_II »

I've got a few parts left over from my M that I won't be using and would like to pass them on to others who can put them to good use.

M37 24 volt starter, it worked when I took it off.
M37 24 Volt Generator, I assume it worked, but never used it.
M37 Clutch and Brake Pedal Assembly
M37 Door Mounted Spare Tire reinforcement bracket, and latch
The Ball Hitch that was mounted to the rear cross member.

Make me an offer. :P

That ball hitch looks like it belongs in a Museum for bad Ideas

You can say that again! The rest of the stuff looks pretty "valuable," though, if you need it. :)

I agree 100%, but I've also seen worse.

No opinion on the functionality of the ball hitch, but it looks like a mass production part. The casting fits the rear cross member holes perfect.

The cast section apears to be the original mount for the rotating pintle hook.

The cast parts are original equipment, that's why they fit so well. It's the attached apparatus I would question the integrity of.

I had the same thought, Charles. From what I can see in the pic, the flat bar appears to have been welded to the stub of an original pintle. If so, I would suspect the integrity of the weld. That's an awful lot of moment arm for such a short weld, no matter how good the weld might be. I would not be comfortable with it. :|

Starter and Generator or gone, anyone looking for a set of pedals or door spare tire carrier latch?
