New 12-volt coils are available at any auto parts store. Used 12-volt coils are available at any junk yard. Neither will do you any good if you are still running the stock 24-volt ignition system. If you are, you'll need the correct coil, etc. Midwest Military, VPW, etc. are good places to start looking for one of those.

Knattrass, you have me pegged ! But first, let me thank all you veterans for your helpfull input, and yes,not including the military and civilian troubleshootong manual study time, I have already spent 9 hours TRYING to get my new bought M37 to fire . If nothing else, I have certainly learned the troubleshooting procedure for both primary and secondary circuitry by heart. I am even dreaming about it ( nightmares?) Cutting to the chase, I am now convinced it is either the coil, or rotor thats bad. John already sold me a rotor, but i lost it. He also sold me a 24 volt coil, along with 24 volt starter , generator, regulator, space ship cables, but I'm not ready to fully convert yet. I JUST WANT TO TAKE MY NEW TRUCK FOR A RIDE AROUND THE BLOCK, DAMNIT ! Having ordered another rotor from John, I will make one more attempt with 12 volt componants, to fire up. If you do not see any more postings from me in the near future, it means I donated the truck to the local police anti terror training school for explosives training excercises
