numbers

Post by newbee101 »

Hi and i would like to introduce myself as a very new owner of a 1951 M-37 yesterday.
name is Gordon and have done two other restorations 1952 pontiac and 1979 F-100
Question??? could someone show me or explain which numbers are which on the tag on the glove box. i am able to read the numbers but not their meaning and i was told that there is supose to be a vin on the frame. the location would be helpfull before i dismantle the vehicle. will be taking some pics before and during the restoration of this vehicle and expect it to be a two year project. thank you

Later model trucks have a long numerical prefix as well.

I agree this would be a good candidate for a Sticky. However I do like how this board is not all clogged up with them. It might make sense to create another category just for stickys, and put this one in it

I agree that stickies can be a nuisance at times.

The web site owner is welcome to use the photos any way he wants. They work good in a FAQ page on the main web site.
