What I thought was a good cab is turning into more trouble than what I want to mess with. My 53 has the GMC steel top conversion and I belive this is exactly why tub is in such bad shape.
If anyone has some suggestions for finding something on the west coast, let me know.

Look for a "parts truck" with a good cab. Then, you can always use the truck you already have as the "parts" truck and rebuild the other one. Problem solved and the numbers should match.
