How do you sort posts in a thread

I would like to change my profile or something so that the newest topic in a thread comes up at the top and not at the bottom. Can that be done? If yes then how? I can't find directions

At the bottom of the thread, there is a box that says "oldest first."

Just click on that, and you can change the order in which they're displayed.!
