For Sale, 5 GoodYear 9.00X16 non-directional tires, these have the civilian mud and snow tread design. 1 is brand new, mounted on the rim, was a spare, never been run. The other 4 are 95% tread remaining I'd say. Good condition, not cut up from rough terrain use. Email for photos and price if interested. Tubes and flaps will be included also.

What's the difference between regular NDT's and these with mud and snow design?

It's a different tread design, not the military standard bar type lug non-directional.

It can be a bit confusing since both military and civilian tires can be designated NDT (Non-directional Tread) and DT (Directional Tread).

NDT's in either military or civilian means they can be mounted either left or right. DT means they must be mounted so that the tread design points forward as specified.

In the civvy tire lines this was more common to Mud & Snow tread designs. My Goodyears are civvy Mud & Snow NDT.

You'll notice the "V" chevrons face forward on one side of the tire and aft on the other. This is an Goodyear Mud & Snow civvy NDT tire. It can be run in either direction. A DT Mud & Smow would have all the "V" chevrons facing the same direction.

My NDT's are great traction tires but very noisy on paved roads. The DT's run slightly quieter.

The civvy DT tires usually have a curved arrow on one side, accompanied by the words "direction of rotation." When using these tires, it's a good idea to carry two spares...one for the left side and one for the right. Running these tires "backwards" will usually invalidate any warranty on them.
