All the trucks we service get 15-40 in the engine.

We use Royal Purple 15-40 in all our engines, with the exception of some late model gas burners, they get Purple 5W30.

New engines out of the crate and rebuilt engines get either Chevron Delo 400 or Shell Rotella T 15-40. We can't use Royal Purple in these applications on start up as the engines will never break in because the Purple is so slick. After a few thousand miles, we change over to Royal Purple.
