I am ready to install my front fender moldings I got from Midwest. My question is how long should the ones on the engine side panels be? Are the ends trimmed flush with the valance panel or do they extend a bit? It also looks like the molding is going to interfere with the lower bolts? I cannot find a detail picture of these. It is crunch time to have the truck ready for the Memorial Day Parade. I also have an MV cruise in to attend this Tuesday night. It will be the rigs painted premiere!
I installed my fuel can holder Wednesday. Were there different Jerry Can cradles? I had to drill a new set of holes as the one I had did not match up to the fender brackets?
On another note, I installed my pioneer rack and discovered I only had three of the original mounting spacers. Two were very rusty and pitted. I subbed them with some 3/8" solid shaft collars and they are nearly identical. I also used Parker woven 1.500" hose wrap sprayed OD for my tailgate chain covers. Looks real close to the real deal. The man at the Mega Fluid store gave me the wrap for free when I told him what it was for

I used white nylon bushings on my Pioneer Rack, no rust fer sure & out of sight too. The fender rubbers I've seen on originals (almost ingratiated) the front leading edge was trim w/the panel, the rear was almost 2/3 inches longer, sort of like a pig tail, twisted and turned into the engine bay?
My can holder fit no drilling, not any help there David? Any pics of the Parker Woven Wrap, I used a canvas sleeve form WEE BEE Webbing.
I remember what I was thinking, it's the fender welt itself that was snugged & twisted flat, up into the engine bay. Wish I had a pic of it?
Sorry for the confusion.
When I lined up the stock holes the can cradle was about an inch lower towards the rear? I am wondering now if my brackets were maybe fabbed wrong? I bent the two braces forward a bit, drilled two new holes and it sits level now. Mysterious
I will post pics in my album this week of the can holder and chain covers

I was just wondering because I dont have my tailgate on yet but it seams really close. Would you happen to know if these tailgates drop like the ones on a 2 1/2 ?
