DOOR STOPS
GOOD MORNING ALL, I ORDERED AND RECEIVED TWO NEW DOOR STOPS, ONLY NEED ONE. DO I NEED TO OPEN UP THE DOOR TO DO THE INSTALL. I DONT SEE HOW IT GOES TOGETHER BY LOOKING AT THE DOOR STOP?? HOW DO YOU INSTALL IT?? IF ANYBODY NEEDS THE SECOND ONE I WILL SEND IT OUT TO YOU, LEAVE YOUR INFO AT: LOKEYNYC@AOL.COM. SECOND QUESTION DOES ANYBODY HAVE AN OLD TRANSMISSION INPUT SHAFT THAT I CAN BUY? I NEED IT TO SET UP THE CLUTCH. THANKS BOB
Hi Bob,
Yes, they install thru the inner door and get pinned in place. AB LINN puts these input shafts on E-Bay all the time. If you can't obtain or borrow one I can loan you mine for the cost of shipping-just let me know. (An old mechanic's trick is to use two deep-well sockets-smaller one for the pilot bearing, slide the bigger one thru the disk and over the smaller socket).
