Brake lines at the master cylinder...
Okay I just about got all the lines hooked up that the former owner disconnected... Except for what looks like the vent like for the master cylinder... Does it thread into the top back portion of the master cylinder... It appears that he may have used a threaded plug to plug where it entered because I haven't found where it goes yet...
Uh on a side note I know you guys like helping folks out but what manual should I invest in...?

I don't know how much you like to read, but you can get a whole library of manuals for it. There's an Operators Manual, a parts catalog, a unit-level maintenance manual, and a depot level maintenance manual for starters. I would say that the Operators Manual and the unit-level maintenance T.O. would be most useful for you. If you plan to do a complete overhaul, then a depot-level maintenance T.O. would be very helpful.

All M/C's of this type must have a vent to work properly. What the guy has plugged is the vent, the line is plumbed back to the engine air intake elbow. It was done that way because of fording. If you do not plan to ford or get in water that is up to the M/C level, you can use a vent fitting at the M/C and not worry about plumbing back to the intake. However, if you have good plumbing just hanging there unhooked, you may as well make use of it.

Yeah...
Yeah I want it to be able to ford... So yeah its gotta get hooked back up... So I'll have to figure out how to get the plug out... Seems the guy removed all of the stuff that plugged into the air intake elbow... Well at least I found the majority of them today...

If all the lines are unhooked from the intake elbow, it likely won't be running much longer. Reason, the distributor vent lines hook there also. Well the distributors vent lines were not plugged up for whatever reason they were in the process of removing the entire Air Cleaner, Elbow and Carb assembly...MSeriesRebuild wrote:If all the lines are unhooked from the intake elbow, it likely won't be running much longer. I know I have some digital copies of the manuals and I think I have 8030 so I might be in luck...
