I have a flat bed equipment trailer that I need to find an economical way to enclose. The deck of my trailer is 80" wide by 144" long (6'-8" x 12').
How big is the deck of a 2 1/2 ton, or 5 or 10 ton truck?
I could build a set of sockets on to the trailer and attach a bow set if the canvas would fit.
Second consideration would be how tall would the canvas be?

Re: alternate use of a canvas cover
A deuce cargo bed is 8' wide, 12' long. The 5-ton cargo bed is 8' wide 14' long. Sounds like the deuce canvas may work for you.poor rich wrote:I have a flat bed equipment trailer that I need to find an economical way to enclose. The deck of my trailer is 80" wide by 144" long (6'-8" x 12').

Thanks Charles, after I posted this I went looking on line for pics, dimensions, ect. (someday I'll learn to do this first).
It looks like the canvas would be to short (height above the deck) than I need.

Not sure if you are aware of this fact; many deuce cargo covers have had approximately 2' added to the length on each side from original. Higher standards were used in order to get extra height. Many of these modified covers have hit the surplus market, I bought some from Army Surplus of Dodge City a while back. If this extra length will fall into your required specs, it's worth checking out. The price and the quality was good on what we got.poor rich wrote:Thanks Charles, after I posted this I went looking on line for pics, dimensions, ect. (someday I'll learn to do this first).
