Damn Bruce
I don't envy what your doing, My body bolts came off ok but I had to use a die grinder to get the truss bolts off my bed/sill panels. My #1 bed sill was rotted out also ( as most are).

Do the bed & bed sides (at the tailgate hinge) have "L" brackets on the interior (across & upright)?

Yes there is a threaded L-bracket on each side of the bed, I had to fab one for my truck but was able to re use the other

I might have to do the same? I have no plans to take the other bed apart, it should be able to find another home?
