My truck has a new carb on it along with an electric fuel pump. The problem I am having is that the old girl idles at around 1600 rpm and I can't figure out how to get that back down to something that I can live with.
I am suspecting that this carb was something that just fit rather then being the correct one. The other issue is that there is no bypass line to allow excess fuel back to the tank so I am wondering if the pump is over pressuring the fuel bowl and forcing the needle off the seat causing my high idle problem.
I was hoping that someone could post pixs of their setups so I could see if I have the right carb

I would think excessive fuel pump pressure would cause a flooding condition as opposed to a high idle? If you have no reaction from the idle speed screw on the throttle shaft it could be a vacuum leak.
