Gas tank parts

Post by refit1701 »

Does anyone have an old, rusted out hulk of a tank they can cut some parts off of? I'd like to have the filler neck area and the small ring the sending unit bolts to.

I'm converting a generator tank.

Thanks

If you did not find one I am going to retrieve the rear frame section I chucked in the dumpster. the tank was quite rusty but those areas of the tank are probably good if you have not found one yet.

It's still early but I haven't found anything yet. So if you can save that for a few days, I'd appreciate it.

Do an internet search, but there are many gas tank outfits that supply these parts brand new.
I did this when I made a new tank for my T-15 weasel.

Either way it is fine. I was going to get the frame out again because I forgot to remove the rear crossmember so I will be in the dumpster anyways.
