Home Anyone know if anyone has reproduced the cowl vent gutters? Or is it a matter of finding the one in a thousand parts truck that hasnt had it rust out?

I sent one to Sheldon at Jeepanels and he said it would have cost him too much to tool up. You should have asked me the other day tim that cowl upstairs in the barn has a good one that is why I cut it off. I have one that was taken off that could be fixed easy enough by the welder friend you have I would give it to you if you pay the shipping just let me check it first.

I may have found one from a friend in Hinesburg, (15 minutes away). If his turns out not to pan out I will take you up on yours.
I had my cab sandblasted today, along with the hood from your parts truck, it came out looking quite good. Way better than the one I had.
Been stripping the parts truck down, got the cab pretty well bare.
I may be looking for a pair of rust and dent free door shells if you have any.

ED, he ever get the tool box pan made????? I have crappy ones and I was going to weld two to get one. I had talked to him at Weare many years ago about it when he started making the bed floors. If he is willing, I could send him mine to see what he could come up with.

Tim sounds like a plan. I do have some good doors off an ambulance. I am looking for 150 each complete. They have no rust at all but do have some extra mirror holes drilled in them.

good to hear from you. I am not sure if sheldon ever tooled up for the toolbox bottom. I think there would be more call for those than the vent though. I have not heard if he is making them. Give him a call he is probably always looking for something to add to the collection he makes. your truck is looking good now if dumpy doesn't sell I will finish her. I just lucked into a complete Utz potatoe chip truck with a 4bta and chevy manual tranny for $1300 just gotta go get it. It will go in my other xm or my 72 chevy plow truck not sure yet ?
