Rick - we ended buying 2 marine hold kits that contained plastic trays, stainless steel rods and plastic hold downs. We had to remove about 1/8" from one edge of the each tray for them to fit. We got them from West Marine. You can see the centerline of the hold downs have saw marks.

Keith, I like your battery setup. I catch so many good ideas on this forum.

Tom-

They are a marine grade battery that are supposed to hold charge for long duration... don't know the size off hand.... its -10 in the garage and too cold to check. If I can find the receipt from West Marine, I'll post. Stay warm - Keith

Since the forum has been slow lately, let me be the "devils advocate".
Why do we really need battery hold downs ?
I never use them, as in the picture they fit very tight and snug in the box and unless your bounceing up and down, there really is no need.

I have the insides from the battery hold-down for the original batteries, tray included. They are caked with schmutz (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Schmutz) that you will want to clean up. I can email pics. PM me if interested.
