I had to laugh when I first saw this on the news last night, but after listening to the story I must say that although I don't agree with people naming their kids the way they did(obviously woefully lacking somwhere), I do think its wrong for a store to deny a simple request.

I say good for the store owner to do whats right. The owner has a right to refuse business. They have my support.
Especially to "fine" folks like these appear to be. It's simply ridiculous. All those GI crosses in Normandy to crush the nazis and somebody here names their kid Adolf Hitler? I have several Senior exercise students who are survivors of death camps and have the numbers tatooed on ther arms. Suppose they were at that counter in the store and the bakery obliged the nazi scumbags? How heart breaking would it be for those Jews?
When I hear stories like this, I feel sad to think of all the WWII GI's that perished to stop Hitler, and now we have nazi parties here in the US? But I guess history and truth does not matter, just like that model kit in my post. Erase it, forget it, and lets just do what feels good. We don't want to hurt anybodys feelings.
Is it me, or am I the only one that realizes our country has become a MTV show? I have a picture of Patton in my office at the school, upon occassion I swear I see it weeping. Call me crazy. If I am over reacting, so be it.

This one even made our local paper. Those idiots also named the daughters Himmler and arrayan nation. How will these children grow up?
Racist in the extreme for starters. These parents should be checked out by CPS. I don't feel they should have children period.

No arguments with anyone there, these are obviously not pillars of society, however this is still a free country and I stand by my comments about the store being wrong. Where is their disclaimer telling customers what can and cannot be on a cake?


When a store tells someone what they can and cannot do, short of breaking the law, thats when its time to shop elsewhere. Thats all I wanted to say about it.

The fact of the matter is that in as much as it is a free country for them to make the request it is just as much as the stores right to say no. So in the end nether one is in the wrong. I do believe that the parents are scumbags that should not reproduce. And this statement makes me angry "He did this stuff, yeah, but that was in the past.
